Working on the boat . It is a Crescent 42 made in Sweden and almost 30 years old but still in very good condition. 4.2 m long 1.79 beam max engine size 9hp
First time in 7 years that outboard , boat and trailer have been seen together
While the weather was bad I made a start on restoring my old seagull engine . 4hp century c 1961.
Thanks to tips from "saving old seagulls" and some minor parts it should now be seaworthy again
Repainted steel tank but new transfers.
I would make it law that everyone who goes to sea in small boats should have a seagull engine. It is as british as fish and chips
My other engine is a 1995 4hp Mercury with a 20L remote tank
Latest find : - WSPCL Silver Century plus c1976
in poor condition. Now restored to OK for the back of the boat condition. note the Triumph/BSA
