The Sycamore in the centre is about the same age as Holmisdale House c1860 .
The Gunnera is about 10 years old and was below the waterfall for a couple of years but with a 2 foot thick block of ice on it one winter we decided to move it near to the small stream . Ferns , Ivy , Cotoneaster , Primroses and Bluebells all thrive by the waterfall .
All the diggers and eight wheelers that have been up and down the drive over the months have made the drive much wider but still not suitable for camper vans who we recommend park in the passing place and walk up .
