Holmisdale House Holmisdale House Holmisdale House , one of the most famous Victorian mansions on Skye in its darkest hour. Destroyed in a fire on the 13th of May 2002 along with the Toy Museum. 50 firemen from Glendale volunteers , Dunvegan , Portree and Broadford fought to bring the blaze under control . Fortunately no one was injured and thanks to Prudential Assurance , Torrence Partnership of Portree and Builder Donald MacKenzie of Dunvegan --
