Before any re-building could start the house was taken back to bare walls and beyond. Wooden lintels were replaced by concrete . Only the 15"x 15" massive pairs of beams holding the bow windows were retained. Earth floors were filled with cement and stonework pointed . We managed to rescue much of the beams and floorboards for recycling later.
Stairs were removed at too early a stage just to make things difficult.

Once the roof was watertight the new beams and floors could be put in
